What I’m doing now

Short bio

Hey 👋, I’m Jan. I’m a dad with 3 wonderful kids. I’m living and working in Germany by Aachen, but I was born in east Germany GDR. So Yes, I’m also a refugee!

Since January 2015 I have Diabetes mellitus type 1 which was diagnosed by pure accident. I’m using a pump from Ypsomed and the FreeStyle Libre 3. Now I’m using also the CamAPS FX advanced adaptive hybrid closed-loop app.

In my spare free time I’m working on some #OSS projects, try to run some kilometers or using my Editor bike from Cube.

• IconPacks.Browser The Browser for all available Icon packages from MahApps.Metro.IconPacks and IconPacks.Avalonia
• MahApps.Metro.IconPacks Awesome icon packs for WPF and UWP in one library
• MahApps.Metro A framework that allows developers to cobble together a better UI for their own WPF applications with minimal effort. https://mahapps.com
• MahApps.Metro.SimpleChildWindow A simple child window for MahApps.Metro
• GongSolutions.WPF.DragDrop A drag’n’drop framework for WPF.
• Simple Music Player SimpleMP or Simple Music Player is a simple and easy to use music player for free. It plays the most common music files (mp3, ogg, wma, wav) in a simple way.
• ControlzEx Shared controls for WPF which makes your life easier.

I’m also help(ed) and contribute(d) to these awesome projects.

• Avalonia UI Build apps for every device using .NET Harness the power of cross-platform .NET. One codebase, infinite possibilities.
• Chocolatey GUI A delicious GUI for Chocolatey. Chocolatey GUI is an user interface for Chocolatey (the Machine Package Manager for Windows).
• Hardcodet NotifyIcon for WPF. NotifyIcon (aka system tray icon or taskbar icon) for the WPF platform
• Material Design In XAML Toolkit Google Material Design in XAML & WPF, for C# & VB.Net https://materialdesigninxaml.net

Future

• More time with Angular, Node, Javascript, Typescript, Vue.js …
